of abundantly bad decisions

Insatiable desire for passion

Reminiscent of addictions

You served it up, nonetheless,

Exclusively on your terms

My emotions, my burden

And none of your concern

I knew who you were

Precisely from the start

Temptation ... flirtation

Unspeakably black heart

Brazen trysts, on and then

Off again, over the years

Pushing and pulling

Appear and disappear

I’ve long since dismissed

Such apathetic stances

If they want me, I require

Every bit of enchantment

Too passive to play?

That's not my concern

Mistakes have purpose

Live, love, laugh, learn

My future is lustrous

As a brazen explorer

A heroine, vivacious

On a quest for my warrior

My path will continue,

With beloved or alone
